NurseVitasMy name is Sabina Wangari. I,m a nurse by profession. I did my associate degree in Kenya in 2005,and later in 2021 did my bachelor’s degree in nursing at Aspen university, Colorado USA.I have been working with special needs community professionally and also through our non profit organization: Joy the warrior foundation.
This foundation was birthed as a result of my late daughter who had severe cerebral palsy and while in Kenya it was very challenging to meet her needs. The joy the warrior foundation aims at catering for the needs of the special needs community especially those who don’t health insurance nor enough source of income. My future goal is to start a therapy center : occupational, physical and counseling therapy for the special needs in Kenya. Due to the emotional trauma that families go through ,one of my educational goal is to take a counseling course and thus be able to cater for their needs. One way I have learnt in achieving goals is to start with the hardest and finish with the easiest. Small changes ends up in big results, thus every attempt in a goal no matter how small it adds up to big result. |
