Director, Special Education

Port Neches Groves ISD

It is my pleasure to serve on the advisory committee for the Women in Leadership Program.  This is my seventh year in educational leadership. Prior to becoming Director of Special Education, I had many leadership experiences, including consulting teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal for Port Neches-Groves Independent Schoo District.  Even with these amazing experiences, I will always be a teacher at heart. I also have 13 years of classroom teaching experience.

​My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with certifications in Special Education, ESL, and generalist grades 1-8 from Lamar University, and a Master’s in  Educational Leadership from Lamar University. By pursuing lifelong learning, I intend to be an example to students and teachers that we should never stop learning.
