Leslie’s background and experience in engineering and information technology was the foundation that led to spending 30 years in healthcare.  He was responsible for building MD Anderson Cancer Center’s first data warehouse and a centralized data analytics resource for the organization that was leveraged to improve the quality of patient care and support research.    Leslie was a part of hospital and clinic operations, as well as performance improvement and patient experience. 

​He served on the Diversity Council, led an employee affinity group (Organization of Multicultural Employees), co-chaired the Clinical Ethics Committee, and was an officer of Riders for the Cure (a motorcycle club raising money for cancer research).  While Leslie is transitioning to retirement, he is a member on the board of directors for the Healthcare Data and Analytics Association and serving as their treasurer.
