Senior Certification SpecialistKelly Padilla is a certification specialist at a government agency that provides guidance to school leadership and supports schools in providing public education for students. In her work she is responsible for providing accurate information rules and ensuring proper implementation of procedures. Kelly also serves as a trainer for new hires and a mentor for their first year to ensure new hires receive resources they need for their success.
Prior to working for TEA, she worked for a digital marketing agency, where she quickly became the go-to person for training new hires on the details and processes of campaign management. When she was not training, she worked on ensuring that marketing campaigns were running smoothly, and all content was up-to-date. She received an MSc in Business Management and Leadership from Western Governors University in 2019, and a BA in Organizational Communications from Texas State University in 2002, with further studies in Advertising & Marketing. She holds various Google Ads certifications and a Marketing Certificate. In her early college years, she served as the Program Coordinator for the Advertising Club, securing guest speakers from the industry. When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her awesome dogs, Marty, Clara Belle, Willie, and Waylon, friends and family, playing roller derby, and training for half marathons. She enjoys volunteering her time with various non-profit organizations like Seedlings Mentoring and Make-A-Wish. |
