Director of Operations; Transportation DepartmentSAISDKatelyn Saenz is the Director of Operations for the Transportation Department at San Antonio ISD. Mrs. Saenz has over 16 years of work experience in the customer service, banking, and transportation industry. Mrs. Saenz joined the SAISD Transportation Team in 2017. Mrs. Saenz started with the department as a Dispatcher, advanced to a Route Coordinator, was promoted to the Route Supervisor, and is now the Director overseeing all of these roles. During her career with SAISD Transportation, Mrs. Saenz has successfully decreased the number of routes and increased ridership, to provide the most efficient transportation service to SAISD students.
Mrs. Saenz is responsible for overseeing over 130 school bus routes, 145 bus drivers, 90 bus monitors, and 55 staff members that provide service for general and special education students at all SAISD elementary, middle, and high schools. Mrs. Saenz has worked collaboratively with other departments to expand the services provided to SAISD students to include the Rolling Readers program, Technology distribution buses, the SAISD Eats food delivery program, Jump Start extended learning program, and the addition of 500 stops for the start of the 2021 school year. |
