Manager, EngagementBuckner InternationalEmily is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) with a Masters degree from Samford University with a concentration in Global Community Development. Emily has worked in the Dallas metroplex for over five years, starting her career with clinical workforce development and program management experience with a variety of homeless shelters and recovery centers including The Salvation Army Carr P. Collins, The Salvation Army ARC, Dallas Life, The Free Man House, and The Samaritan Inn.
Currently, Emily works for Buckner International in the humanitarian aid department focusing on sourcing in-kind gifts and supporting domestic and international distributions. Emily has also focused on increasing fundraising efforts as a former board member of The Free Man House as well as development contract work for a variety of nonprofits. Emily also has passions for equine assisted therapy, serving disabled individuals, and serving with her church in multiple capacities. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors in nature with her pup, Barkley; working out at her favorite gyms, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family (usually on a patio somewhere)! Emily is also on the Community Garden Kitchen Committee with Junior League Collin County where she serves meals to the McKinney community in need. |
