Tia Johnson is the Manager of Infection Prevention at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas. Tia has over 10 years of healthcare experience which includes clinical laboratory, microbiology, data analysis, infection prevention, and leadership. At JPS, she has oversight of the infection prevention and control program where she leads a team to advocate for establishing and maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Tia’s primary focus in her role is enhancing program management and organization, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and data collection and analysis to facilitate process improvement across all infection prevention activities. She is board-certified in infection control (CIC) and is a certified Medical Technologist (MT) through American Medical Technologists.

​Tia received her BS in Microbiology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Texas Tech University and holds a Master of Science in Health Sciences in Translational Microbiology from the George Washington University.
