Director of Advanced Academics

Waco Independent School District

Celeste Sodergren is a pracademic who currently serves as the Director of Advanced Academics for Waco ISD. She believes in chasing opportunity, mentoring others, and building systems that work to support an infinite game mindset. Her research in Educational Psychology focuses on change agency among gifted education leadership, and the role of self-beliefs in leaders, teachers and students in the education system.

​She is the mother of two grown daughters who frequently learn from her many mistakes, and are gracious in their appreciation of her flawed humanity. She has learned that love for others, persistence, and insatiable curiosity can and will overcome many obstacles.
