CommiteeMontessoriKate Broughton is a faculty member for the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies Administrator Course (MECR 2016-present).. She has been an educational consultant for 40 years, working in UK public schools, US private Montessori schools, the Gulf Coast Montessori Teacher Education Center, and as an Examiner for Pearson Education (UK & US).
In 2007, she co-created Kingwood Montessori School, a 501c3 Non-Profit in Texas, and was the Director from 2012 to the Fall of 2020. Kate graduated with a Fine Arts degree in 1981 and became a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen. She is currently working with a range of Fine Art media including bronze sculpture and 3D digital model making. Kate passionately supports the transformation of education through the Montessori Method and enjoys working with passionate and knowledgeable individuals in all walks of life. She believes that MECR leads the way in harmoniously coalescing the profound philosophical nature of the Montessori Method, with contemporary neurological research, and practical “on-the-ground” application, preparing unique individuals who exemplify the ontological nature of this work. |
