COOThe Legacy Senior CommunitiesMy name is Bridgette Walshe, and I am currently the Chief Operating Officer at The Legacy Senior Communities. I started with The Legacy in 2021 as the Director of Strategic Advancement, where my focus was organizational project management, advocacy efforts, and partnerships, as well as review of new technologies and initiatives relevant and trending in senior living.
My position evolved, and I became more involved in operations and community support. As this occurred and I took on additional responsibilities, my role morphed into the COO role in late 2022. As COO, I support overall operations for senior living campuses as well as community based service lines. Additionally, I support the director positions who oversee security, facilities, and in as needed. formation technology. I have worked in senior living for the last 22 years, including serving as a health care administrator and an executive director. I have worked as an expert for legal health care cases as well as consulting in health care for a number of years. I have served on a number of committees, councils, and boards, including the Alzheimer's Association, Tennessee Health Care Association, The Junior League, Leading Age National, and was appointed to the state nursing facility administrator advisory committee for Texas. I also serve as an advisory board member for innovative technology company Toi Labs and Aveo Medical. Although originally from Kansas City, I have had the opportunity to work in multiple states before settling down in Texas, where I met my husband, and we have three young boys bursting with energy, Langston(6), Grayson(4), and Emerson(1). I also enjoy serving my community and giving back through philanthropic efforts, and I currently serve as a Rita and Truitt Smith Library Board member. |
